Abandoned.

Maybe it’s self reflection.

Abandoned and forgotten, the old house stood silently at the edge of town, its paint peeling and windows boarded up. Nature had started reclaiming the once-loved property, with vines snaking up the walls and weeds poking through the cracked pavement. Memories of laughter and joy were now overshadowed by an eerie emptiness that seemed to seep from every corner. The secrets of the past whispered in the creaking of the floorboards and the flutter of curtains in the breeze, a haunting reminder of lives lived and lost within its walls.

Let’s start with home.

I started taking photographs as a child, but I didn’t get to keep anything from my childhood. What I did keep from my childhood, was my sense of adventure and taking risks.

This building is now a hospital, but before that it was an urban art gallery. It was the space where those kids that were a little different would hang out. The art was a mix bunch of masterpieces and trash, but that was how Winson Green was. I guess I started with taking pictures of things, then like nature, those things grew.

Abandoned room with graffiti-covered walls, including phrases like "You Can't Define Art" and a smiley face. A large tractor tire and smaller tires are on the debris-littered floor. The graffiti also says "Home Sweet Home" and "Vote 4 Cameron LOL." The setting appears neglected and rundown.

It’s a mixer.

Graffiti boldly adorns the decrepit walls of abandoned buildings, providing a vibrant contrast to the surrounding decay through a display of street art. The striking and intricate designs defined by black and white contrast seems to breathe life into the neglected structures, Each stroke of paint tells a story, adding layers of meaning to the urban landscape and inviting viewers to contemplate the intersection of art and urban blight.

These images vividly portray the narrative of what once was, capturing moments frozen in time, immortalizing memories that linger in the echoes of the past.

The famous lip bite in graffiti art captivates with its seductive allure, adding a touch of mystery and sensuality to the urban landscape.

What was once a derelict building brimming with memories of the past has been transformed into a modern housing estate that breathes new life into the community. So that life can continue.

These neglected and abandoned spaces serve as the ideal blank slate for the urban artist to craft their next compelling masterpiece, injecting life and creativity into the forgotten corners of the city.

“some spaces have a life of there own, home to some many other creatives. They are the ghosts of artists, telling there stories long after they are gone.”

Always looking for the little details.

I have always had a deep fascination with history; there is something truly captivating about uncovering facts and piecing together stories of the past. It's almost like painting a picture with words and images. As I gaze through the viewfinder and press the shutter button, a flood of questions fill my mind. What stories do you hold within your layers? What significant purpose did you serve in your time? How have you evolved, and what led to your eventual obsolescence? The camera freezes moments in time, creating a timeless connection between the present and the past.

I’ll always be fascinated by derelict buildings and abandoned spaces, as they tell stories of the past and evoke a sense of mystery. I look forward to travelling to see what else is out there, as each location holds its own secrets waiting to be discovered.

I have several bigger projects planned for the near future, including these unique and intriguing spaces that I believe would make the perfect backdrop for creating a truly stunning scene. Each location offers a distinct atmosphere that will enhance the overall aesthetic of the photographs.

I want to expand on my creative projects by incorporating a variety of unique locations, as well as distinctive costumes that truly reflect the theme of the shoot. Additionally, I am interested in integrating dystopian style feel to future projects. This combination will surely elevate my work and provide a more engaging experience for everyone involved.
