the Streets.
the first place you explore is beyond your doors, and the things you find.
Some of my mom’s favourite words “Yu love, street, tu much” and to be honest I probably did.
Go out the door and turn left.
“I step out my yard through the streets
In the dead heat all I got my spirit and my beats
I play fair don't cheat
And keep the gangsters sweet
Turn the page, don't rip it out at yer age
Move to the next stage
Lock the rage inside the cage
Like SK it's a new day
But don't take the shortcut through the subway
It's pay or play, these geezers walk the gangway
Deep seated urban decay, deep seated urban decay“
- The Streets -
Growing up in Birmingham, the streets can be a scary place, but that wasn’t my problem. Money is always an issue if you come from a poor black family. So you learn life about is about survival, not fear. I grew up knowing not many places were safe, gangs, white people, the police, white gangs. Creating stories saved me from gang life, but the streets raised me.

Traveling to other places.
Starting from a bustling city, embarking on a journey was never a concern within my family. It was ingrained in us to revisit our roots, connect with our forefathers. But, exploring solo transformed a city into an expedition. Every quaint town morphed into an enigmatic puzzle, almost voyeuristic in nature as I searched for that picture-perfect moment.
Then again, in certain cities, every corner exudes an aura of picture-perfect scenes that effortlessly transport me into a street photography mindset. Lost in the moment, I anticipate the thrill of capturing unexpected yet decisive instants that await me around any bend.
I believe I find pleasure in exploring these unfamiliar locations in various ways, each offering unique perspectives waiting to be discovered. Perhaps multiple visits are necessary to truly appreciate their full essence.
Every city has its own unique energy that pulses through its streets, shaping the atmosphere and setting the tone for those who dwell within its boundaries. Each place holds a distinctive vibe that is palpable to those who are sensitive to the subtle shifts in the air, creating a tapestry of rhythms that reflect the spirit of the community.
Travelling around the world is a thing that I am truly passionate about, and I certainly have not had the opportunity to travel as much as I would like to. Exploring new cultures, trying different cuisines, and immersing myself in diverse landscapes fill me with an unparalleled sense of wonder and excitement. I eagerly anticipate the moments when I can set out on new adventures, armed with my camera to capture the beauty that surrounds me.
There are still countless captivating places eagerly waiting to be explored, each holding a promise of exhilarating adventure and thrilling discovery.
I have a deep passion for traveling on public transport, as it offers a unique glimpse into the life of a city. Being connected to the vibrant energy and vibe of the city allows you to experience everything in a completely different way, revealing aspects that might otherwise go unnoticed.
I have several bigger projects planned for the near future, including an exciting road trip traveling to Barcelona with a stop in Paris, all in order to expand on the way I perceive and interpret the world around me. Exploring new places and diverse cultures will undoubtedly add depth and richness to the work that I create, allowing for a broader perspective and fresh inspiration.
I want to expand on my creative projects by incorporating a diverse range of unique locations, and travelling allows me to discover and fully embrace these exciting opportunities.
So feel free to follow along on my captivating journey, and join my blog to get to know me on a more personal level.
