I rarely talk about the projects that I want to shoot but this year I thought I’d be a little different and challenge myself. In 2023 I want to diversify my portfolio, representation matters. I want to focus on shooting with more trans folk, people of colour and people who would normally not shoot. I want to collaborate with kinksters who shared my goals and help me to create some great art. My focus won’t just be photography, I want to work with other artists exploring mixed media.
For this year I am hoping to do bigger shoots with higher production value. They will take longer to put together so planning has to start early.
New for 2023
I think the projects I have in mind for 2023 are in some ways going to be harder to achieve and in other ways easier. I plan for it to be all fun.
Through my eyes - I am a person of colour and for many reasons I try to hide that and the challenges I face, but at the same time I don’t think there is enough representation of my colour in my work or in the fetish world so my plan is to work with more POC this year, exploring some other fetishes.
Sinister - Metal health project. I will be working with a local charity and exploring some of the stories from people that are struggling with mental health and the people trying to support them. This will be a photo series and documentary.
The Toy - I plan to look at pet play, dollification or your human toy. I want to explore control and obedience. So I have come up with a project that will explore this topic.
Crazy Holes - exploring objectification, you can be my personal golf course, I might even paint you green.
Couples - I love working with couples, and haven’t shot with couples for some time.
Scars, cuts and bruises - anything that you might hate about yourself is what I’d like to make beautiful if you let me.
Continuation from 2022
Two of the things I wanted to shoot last year I was unable to do so those will be at the top of this year’s list.
Impact play shoot - impact is a beautiful thing or is it. I thought about how I’d interpret bruises and the thoughts people have when they see them, I probably want to see what pretty marks I can make before I take your photograph.
Covered - I started exploring things that we cover our bodies with to get more attention, I want reshoot some of the images and to create something new.
Same Sex Couples - male or female same sex couples in sensual/erotic poses but not pornographic.
Part of the reason I published this list is that my available time for shooting is limited and I want to make the most of it. I also want to push myself this year and this will help me keep track of ideas and let the people that want to contact me.
Ongoing Series and Themes
Creative ideas that are not my own. I’m always open to a good creative idea that suits my particular skills or approach.
Anonymous - I will continue to work with people that want to explore there kink but keep there identity private.
Your stories - maybe you want to create something, along one of my themes but it might not be something I have Writtern down. I might be still interested so don’t be shy.
Paid Engagements
Paid engagements are not-included in the above. Paid projects always get priority regardless of the subject matter. I will help my clients realise their vision. The above list outlines the kinds of projects I am personally interested in working on.
Workshops
Watch for some workshops this year. As soon as I can find the right studio space I’ll be setting those up. Light painting is likely to be the first one that I do. I realised yesterday that a workshop on how to shoot with smoke would be helpful so watch for that.
