Creating the right, kink photography Experience.
It takes a lot of different things to make a shoot turn out right. The most important thing is the energy, so when it comes to planning a shoot, I ask a lot of questions. What Do you want to get from the shoot? Have you done the sort of thing before? Indoors or out? Or I can sort out all the details for you, but I’ll still have questions.
When it came to planning this shoot, it was made a little easier as I had worked with Thanna before, so I knew what to expect and she was bringing her Dom with her. She had an idea of the type of story that she wanted to tell, and the sort of locations she had in mind.
I love exploring derelict buildings and had just the place in mind, and my venue is always the facility studios when I’m working close to home.
iPhone capture on location.
Once the concept was in place and the locations confirmed the rest is just preparation for the day. What do you need? What you should bring? Plan B and what to expect from the day. I’m just chilled and your day will be like a normal session with one small difference, I’m in your play space.
On the day things change, the weather has been monitored, all plans are good to go and then the location is over-grown so the experience starts there. I always cove the health and safety of a space but the reality is that you can get hurt or damaged and you have to be prepared as you can be to be safe. Once we arrived, that’s where the fun begins. We might recover a few ideas, while I show you the space and work out any changes. Locations are so much more than the photograph that captured them and when you see them it might inspire you in a different direction.
I normally have all the spaces marked out, I’m already shooting images, the first few to get you relaxed and then transition into the planned shoot.
“Marcus was on time and ready to go, waiting for use to arrive he jumped in the camper and directed us to the first location. He knew what we wanted to created and found the perfect location.”
Working with couples is about the balance and the dynamic that they share, respecting there boundaries and understand, what there dynamic is about is part of the creative process, making capturing what they want easier because you know where all the action is going. Shooting with me, isn’t about me being in control, I’m just there as a guide and I jump in when I need to give a little direction or make a small change.
I think it helps, when you understand what a idea is about, being a part of the BDSM community means that I have a greater understanding of the emotions that I need to capture and waiting for the right moment helps to keep the audience locked in.
All experiences are different, working with new people and the sample people helps to build on what we might have started but also inject something a little different. I travel, I like to work in random places and push the levels of my creativity. I like working with couples, singles, groups who aren’t afraid to do something a little different. Who are happy to push there boundaries and limits. This isn’t about me, this is about you living and trying something new.
“ Working with Marcus is like working with a friend you have known for a long time and is always your biggest cheer leader, telling you what you are thinking is possible and can be achieved with a little perspective. I think his work is amazing and look forward to working with him again.”
