Suspense.

A feeling of excitement, unknown, fear and arousal. The sharp cracks dissipate as they disperse through skin, muscle and bone Searching for a breath to ride out the feeling. The thud and tingle: Focussing deeply on the sensations, my mind swept away, taking my body with it. A temporary escape from reality. A rush of endorphins.

The sharp flash of an intense sting and my mind is sucked instantly back to reality. Gasping for breath. Trying to take control of the sensation. Quivers through my body as feelings pass. It’s all temporary.

Pain, control, marks and sensations. It all dissipates with the crack of a whip.

Getting to know someone new and how they play, what they enjoy, and what excites them is both extremely exciting and completely terrifying. So many unknowns and so much to discover. Not only learning about someone else but learning about yourself. Meeting someone to learn from in a collaborative process of growing with each other.
