Creativity is always my guiding light, illuminating the path I choose to follow, but then those unique things that come from a deeper, more profound place within me eventually rise to the top. In those moments, you may not be fully aware of exactly what’s happening around you, but you simply know that something is indeed different, something that resonates on a level beyond the ordinary.

I guess I have always, in one way or another, known that people tend to hide behind various masks, using different personas to obscure the parts of themselves they don’t want everyone else to see. I mean, I would know quite well in this regard; I created only4thebrave specifically to separate and hide my artistic life from my professional work life. As a result, the aspects of my personality that you would encounter when I was at work were still creative in their own right, but definitely not in the same expressive way. My day job feels like a constant search for clues and solving complex puzzles, understanding a person—and the potential consequences can be serious if you don’t take the time to see all the pieces that make up the whole. but the intricate life beyond those hours involves different masks for different spaces.

So I created Covered, a photo series about the cosmetic industry which plays a significant role in shaping societal standards of beauty, prompting many individuals to hide or alter their natural appearance. With the aid of makeup and cosmetic surgery, people often feel compelled to change who they are, striving to meet these idealised visions. This relentless pursuit of perfection can lead to a complex relationship with self-identity, as individuals balance their genuine selves with the personas they create through cosmetic enhancements. Ultimately, the necessity of these transformations raises important questions about authenticity and self-acceptance in a world fixated on outward appearances.

Who was to know that this moment marked the beginning of my exciting journey into the diverse world of kink? As I explored new personas and identities, I found that each new discovery brought with it a range of challenges and thought-provoking questions that I had never considered before.
